Are we a Resort or a Country Inn?

The Webster Dictionary isn’t much help... but we are a lot more than a typical country inn... we offer you more than 600 acres to enjoy, an opportunity to experience lots of activities, most at no charge, and lots more. However, we do offer you the charm and friendly staff of a country inn... so you decide!

Mel Robbins, our founder, in 1972 designed our unique vacation plan. It does not include chocolates on your pillow or any other nonsense but it does include a clean comfortable room of your choice and an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast and supper (except Friday supper is not included). We clean up, wash the dishes and make the beds. All you have to do is relax and enjoy!

Poland Spring went "green" before it was the chic thing to do.... One way we help the environment is by conserving water....

Please bring your own towels, soap and room glasses. We do provide sheets, blankets, and one pillow per person. If you like an extra pillow, bring it along.

Poland Spring is not quite do-it-yourself... it’s more like bring-it-yourself. All we ask you to do for yourself is to carry your own luggage (Maine Inn at peak check-in times in summer there is some help), and get your own food from our plentiful, delicious all-you-can-eat buffet.

maine vacation packages In keeping with Stress Free, there are no phones in the rooms, but we do have public phones in the lobbies. If you must keep in touch with the world (bad idea), in the Maine Inn lobby there is wireless internet access (who comes to Maine to work?) and a message board for incoming calls that you are free to ignore (good idea). Remember you’re here to relax and enjoy!

We offer four great vacation packages for you to enjoy...

Our Weekends

Friday to Sunday... 2 nights include Saturday breakfast and supper, and Sunday brunch. Friday supper is extra. Available all season (May 22 - October 4) except Columbus Day Weekend.

Legal Holiday Weekends

Friday to Monday... 3 nights, 5 meals including 3 breakfasts and 2 suppers. Friday supper is extra. Available Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-25), Labor Day Weekend (September 4-7) and Columbus Day Weekend (October 9-12).

5-Night Summer Midweeks

Sunday to Friday - 5 nights, 10 meals. Enjoy free Tai Chi lessons, concerts, tours, free afternoon entertainment and lots, lots more. Available June 21 to August 28.

7-Night Summer Weeks

Combine our 5-night midweek and weekend package for a 7-night discounted rate. Includes 14 meals (free Friday supper). Check-in either Friday or Sunday, June 19 through August 30.

Friday’s Supper: Many of our guests do not arrive until after the supper hour, so we do not include Friday supper in any of our weekend plans. However, an all-you-can-eat buffet is available from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. Cost: $10.95 plus tax.

One Night Stays

Poland Spring Resort is unique in many ways, one way is we are open only during peak vacation times, every weekend Memorial Day to Columbus Day and we are open daily June 19 to August 30 only. Individual night stays can be reserved up to seven days in advance only. We welcome you to drop by to see if we have any rooms available for one night or you can reserve by phone up to 7 days in advance of your arrival.
